Domaine de la Grenaudiere knocks it out of the park in NY!
We are excited to announce that Domaine de la Grenaudiere has won two awards at the Loire Valley Buyer’s Selection in New York. Domaine de la Grenaudiere is a winery producing excellent wines from Muscadet Sevre-et-Main since 1723. We have worked with Jean-Luc Ollivier, the owner and vigneron, for more than a decade, and are excited that him and his team are getting the recognition they deserve!
La Grenouille 2022 - 98 Points - This mineral-laden wine pours an attractive crystal-gold shade and shows refined aromas of fresh melon, preserved lime, and a core of wet stone flavors. On re-tasting the wine fleshes out with complex notes of fresh herbs and crisp citrus. Certified HVE3.
Cru Clisson 2017 - 92 Points - A rare opportunity to try a Muscadet with prolonged aging, and this doesn’t disappoint with a concentrated bouquet of waxy citrus fruit, preserved lemon, dried white flower, and whisper of smoked mint. The palate is rich and giving with great notes of mineral. Certified HVE3.
The 3rd edition of the Loire Buyers’ Selection brought together 10 American wine professionals on May 24th 2023, from across the USA, to blind taste and rate 173 wines from the Loire Valley.
